Musack 2026 - Photos & Updates
We’re so grateful for everything your support has allowed us to do in 2026 so far.
Contact us with questions/ideas, and you can make a donation at any time here. There are more ways we could use help at the bottom of this page, but here our exciting program updates:
New Bedford High School Rock Band Trip
Musack provided instruments to NBHS in Massachusetts when their teacher found us through one of his favorite bands, Rancid. The instruments inspired the kids so much, that they started an after-school Rock Band Program. They’re coming to LA to record a song April 24th! While they’re here, they’ll: record an original song and cover song in the legendary Studio 606, donated by the Foo Fighters; see Face to Face live and go to a soundcheck; visit a surprise production rehearsal for a major band and get a tour from their crew; design a logo and do an official photo shoot with our friends at Backyard Party; visit iconic LA music landmarks and buy records at Amoeba! Musack has covered this trip, but we are currently crowdfunding donations to add experiences, souvenirs, and gear for the teens to go home to HERE.

Happy HÜt Uganda Orphanage
Musack provided keyboards to start a music program here in 2025. It went so well, that we’ve already added guitars! We are hoping to add drums and bass guitars by the end of the year. After that, they would like amps and microphones, so we hope to make them even louder by next year! The kids and their teacher have expressed how meaningful the music lessons have been for the kids and even made their own Musack shirts!
Los Angeles-Backyard Party
Backyard Party is an organization that formed out of Altadena Musicians to give Altadena teen bands affected by the LA fires a place to play their music live! They expanded to offer guitar workshops to the teens and have teen staff learning to mix sound, take live show photographs and videos, and more cool behind-the-scenes music jobs. They now also have renowned bands playing shows with teen bands opening. They’ve paid out $7000 over the year to teenage performers. They had a physical location in 2025 and recently have had to move out and throw shows in actual backyards. Musack is now funding the equipment for them to do so. Check out their Instagram for upcoming shows, including one in Pasadena on April 17th with ticket sales benefiting Musack!
Nantucket Instruments & Musical
As you probably know by now, Musack started in Nantucket and continues to support the music programs there each year. We were proud to sponsor Nantucket High’s production of Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in February and to send more instruments to Nantucket Lighthouse School!
After-School Music Scholarships
For 8+ years, Musack has been providing scholarships to families who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend some of our partner music programs. We’re proud to continue providing scholarships for Three O’Clock Rock in Oakland and Kid Row in Los Angeles. We’ve sent six kids to their first quarter of classes in 2026!
more To come + Fundraising
We currently are working on requests in Los Angeles, Massachusetts, and Arizona, along with the remaining Uganda instruments! As always, we can use all of the help we can get. However, we have the following initiatives planned to help us raise money to make more music happen:
The big annual Rock n’ Roll Carnival! We are in talks with several potential bands, and once we lock in availability, we will set a date for late September or October. You will be among the first to know.
Propeller campaigns - we will have a fan engagement sweepstakes attached to the Weezer tour and are hoping to do the same with Warped Tour. We’re open to other ideas here! We also just finished one attached to the No Doubt shows at The Sphere!
Grants - Musack is applying for several grants, but we currently do not have a grant writer or any staff member who is full-time with the bandwidth to do extensive research. If you hear of any arts/music grants, feel free to let us know!
As always, THANK YOU for all you have done and are doing for our mission to give kids and teens a voice through music!
