Musack Auction Coordinator - 2025 Carnival

The Auction Coordinator will work with Musack’s Auction Manager to source and organize auction items, create listings, help develop marketing plan and assets, and set up the auction at the event. This person will be expected to oversee volunteers who are assisting with acquiring items and to train event day volunteers in the auction software. The ideal candidate will want to grow with the organization and take on more of a leadership role in 2026.

Required Skills

The Auction Coordinator should have the following skills:

  • Extremely organized

  • Self-starter and able to make quick decisions

  • Ability to multitask and to answer Musack inquiries within 24 hours

  • A desire to succeed and to be thorough with researching potential items

  • Must live in Los Angeles County

While not required, the following skills are a plus:

  • Leadership experience

  • Understanding of art and prints

  • Graphic design 

  • Photography

  • Event planning

  • Connections that would donate items

  • Nonprofit experience

  • Experience soliciting sponsorships

Type of Employment

This will be a temporary part-time freelance position for June 2025-September 2025 with opportunities for future events and projects.

Location 

Candidate must be in Los Angeles County. This job is mostly remote, but it requires some organizing and photographing of items in our Los Angeles storage unit and the ability to pick up and ship items. 

Compensation

This is an entry-level position at $20/hour. Gas for auction item pickups and dropoffs will be reimbursed at the current California rate of $0.70 per mile.
